CTS Insight Edge Products 98003 CTS Pod Adapter Kit

I purchased and attempted to use. Didn't like the product as it does't really hold the Attitude CTS monitor into the Dash Pod. It seems the Adapter and Dash Pod was after thought adaptation from the older monitor and doesn't really fit the larger Attitude CTS monitor.

Purchased with the required Dash Pod, but the CTS monitor easily bounces out of the dash pod when hitting bumpy roads. Seeing how I use my truck to pull my 36' camper in the Rocky Mountains across dirt roads, the shaking and jaring roads cause the unit to come out of the dash pod.

Wish I could've returned it, but waited too long. Now it sits on the shelf in the original box. Would recommend keeping with the original window suction mount.

The is an ok back-up camera for the Attitude CTS. Given the price I would've expected it to work much better and reliably. There are many times it doesn't turn on or flashes with a green tent to the image. When real cold, it doesn't come on at all.

Had hoped that since it was also an Edge product and designed to work with the Attitude CTS Monitor, that it would've worked better. Am wishing I would've gone with a less expensive back-up camera, that way I would be so frustrated that I spent as much as I did for the unit.

although I sorta wish I bought the bigger touch screen version,. I gave this a 4/5 only because the screen really is pretty small, to the point that if you set it up to show more than 4 PIDS at one time, you can't read them w/out squinting. That said, it is a great product for what it is. It displays any PID that is on your OBDII system. You can set alarms for each PID to alert you if any critical parameters fall below or above the limit you choose. There are a bunch of other nice features that I don't really use, but others may find helpful. Since I originally installed it, I've added an EGT probe and a turbo timer, so I just set the timer to shut the truck down at whatever temp I want, pull the key, lock the doors and walk away and it runs until it reaches that temp. I may also get a pressure sensor down the road to watch fuel pressure. But, I do have to warn you, all of these add on sensors are expensive and can really add up in overall cost. That said, with the starter kit, it is basically like a bus system so you only have to run one cable through the firewall, and everything ties into that, which is much nicer than running individual wires for analog gauges. Good stuff!
