although I sorta wish I bought the bigger touch screen version,.

 I gave this a 4/5 only because the screen really is pretty small, to the point that if you set it up to show more than 4 PIDS at one time, you can't read them w/out squinting. That said, it is a great product for what it is. It displays any PID that is on your OBDII system. You can set alarms for each PID to alert you if any critical parameters fall below or above the limit you choose. There are a bunch of other nice features that I don't really use, but others may find helpful. Since I originally installed it, I've added an EGT probe and a turbo timer, so I just set the timer to shut the truck down at whatever temp I want, pull the key, lock the doors and walk away and it runs until it reaches that temp. I may also get a pressure sensor down the road to watch fuel pressure. But, I do have to warn you, all of these add on sensors are expensive and can really add up in overall cost. That said, with the starter kit, it is basically like a bus system so you only have to run one cable through the firewall, and everything ties into that, which is much nicer than running individual wires for analog gauges. Good stuff!

o I was searching around for this product for quite some time, I was debating between the basic Edge Evolution, and the CTS. I decided on the CTS when I found a rear camera for cheap, and talked myself into it. So the package arrived on schedule, I opened it up and followed the directions to update it on my computer with the provided software. SURPRISE! Guess what?!? The install software does NOT work on a Mac. I didn't read that anywhere online. So, luckily my mac is able to run windows also! Surprise number 2, also will not install on a mac running windows. So you better have a buddy with a windows PC that you can borrow if you are looking to install the software needed for updates. After all that, I decided to just put it in the truck anyhow and check it out. everything hooked up nice with the provided tools. I was VERY disappointed when I realized that this unit did NOT come with an EGT probe (exhaust gas temperature) seeing as the CHEAPEST model in fact, did come with an EGT probe. Oh well, at least everything else seemed to work.

So, I headed for the interstate after setting up my gauges how I wanted them. I did not program anything at this point, mind you. I have an 01 F250 Super-Duty with a 7.3L Turbo diesel. The only mods I have are a 6637 filter, and straight pipe exhaust, nothing fancy. I slammed the pedal down heading onto the entrance ramp to the interstate, and noted my gauges. Boost was at around 18PSI (I was expecting around 15 or so) so I was pleased. Mind you, this is still before I had programmed anything into my truck. and I noted amount of smoke from the tailpipe, and rate of acceleration. I took the next exit, and pulled over for a re-program I wanted to see what Extreme mode was like. I was dissappointed with the amount of time it took to re-program the truck.

The first Edge I bought had some issues but Amazon took care and sent me out a new one right away. I love being able to monitor so many parameters just by plugging into the OBD port. It's pretty small though. Smaller than i thought. (That's what she said)
